The Railway blend is our most popular blend. It’s been designed to be best enjoyed when made with Milk. Milk based coffees require some flavoursome notes to help accentuate the coffee taste. This blend contains a chocolate Brazlian base, with citrus flavours provided by an Elephant Hills peaberry from India. To balance this out with sweetness an El Salvadorian variety is added to round out the flavour profile. Coffee is sold as whole beans in packaging designed to maintain the freshness of the coffee.
The Railway Blend picked up a Silver medal in the espresso category at the 2018 Australian International Coffee Awards. One of only two Victorian coffees to pick up a silver medal (the other being our Cannon Blend). The tasting notes were “clean cup, very pronounced flavours, juicy cup, sweet malt and biscuit, red apple, flavour notes of unripe peach and nectarines, balanced cup, silky syrupy body that coats your mouth well”.
All coffee is sold as whole beans and will require a grinding. Hand grinders are available from the store.
